21. Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. 22. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. 23. Jesus Smith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
This comes from a very familiar passage of scripture. We know that Jesus and Lazarus and his family was very close. Jesus was out and about teaching, and gets news that his friend is sick, and this miracle working God didn’t stop what he was doing and run to him, instead, he waited a few day, and then started toward the family’s home. When Martha heard that Jesus was coming she ran up to him, and kinda of self righteously said, “if you had been here, he wouldn’t be dead!” But at the same time, I don’t know if it was the look Jesus gave her, or if it was just His presence, her conversation changed, and faith rose up in her and she said, “but even now, I know that he can be healed.”
When we face trials, and circumstances that we have prayed for and waited for, and asked for, and even believed for, and those things don’t happen when we think they should, often times our faith gets weak and we begin to doubt God, but EVEN NOW He is able to do anything that we ask.
We must remember His ways are not our own and His thoughts are not our own, HIS ARE SO MUCH HIGHER!! And even when we think He’s late, even now, He’s right on time
